Dr. Stanczak Asks...
Pettibon System
Created and named after its developer, Dr. Burl Pettibon, this analytical approach to chiropractic is based on one of the most relentless forces we encounter: gravity.
The body reacts to gravity either in a positive or negative way, but it always reacts and adapts. Most non-surgical spinal corrective therapies fail to correct the spine because they fail to address this vital component which is the determining factor for long-term correction.
Traditional Physical Therapy primarily works the phasic, or secondary muscles, which you control voluntarily. So when you stop thinking about the action, the body returns back to its previous position. With The Pettibon System, the involuntary muscles around the spine, which are the same part of the nervous system which controls your heart and lungs, are activated to correct the spinal structure. Once this is achieved, the secondary muscles (phasic) are strengthened to reinforce this correction.
High Level of Accountability

We start with a complete radiographic analysis of your spine. This gives us a clear picture of the damaged areas of your spine and how you will respond to our care prior to your acceptance. (We’ll compare these initial views with your stress views, and check your progress on follow up views.)
The sitting position puts 30-33% more stress on your spine than standing. So we always take your X-rays... seated. And we take them the same way each time. This way we can accurately compare how your body is adapting to our care without the influence of uneven leg lengths.
As You Correct And Become Stronger...
Your care is progressive, and as your correction improves, so do your exercises to maximize your strengthening. Your progress is directly attributed to your commitment to getting better in the office and at home.
A True Partnership
The truth is, we can’t “fix” you if you’re not willing to participate. Those who are truly interested in the lasting correction that is possible and do their homework, get the best results. This is what makes the correction last.
